Data Deletion Instructions

1. Send a deletion request

Email support@maumaugame.com with the subject "Mau Mau data deletion request".

Include as much of the following non-secret information as you know:

• the platform you use: Meta Instant Games/Facebook, web, Android or iOS;
• your Mau Mau player name;
• your visible Mau Mau player ID, if available;
• the email address or username associated with a website account, if applicable; and
• a short description of the device and approximate date you last played, if needed to distinguish the account.

An Instant Games account may not have an email address stored in Mau Mau. You may still contact us from any email address and identify the account using the player name, visible player ID and platform. We will provide a safe verification step if additional proof is needed.

2. Identity verification

To prevent another person from deleting your account, we may ask you to verify control of the account through the platform where you play or by confirming account information that is not publicly available. We will only request information reasonably necessary to verify the request.

3. What deletion covers

After verification, we will delete or irreversibly anonymize information associated with the account, including as applicable:

• profile and contact information;
• Meta/Facebook identifiers, including an ASID, or a mobile device identifier;
• game progress, rankings, statistics, virtual balances, settings and game history;
• support information and player-generated content that remains linked to the account; and
• other personal information that is not required for a legal, security or fraud-prevention purpose.

Some records may be retained where required by law, including accounting or transaction records, or where strictly necessary to resolve disputes and prevent fraud. Where possible, retained records are minimized, access-restricted and separated from active game data.

4. Timing and confirmation

We will acknowledge the request and respond within the period required by applicable law. Personal information received from Meta will be deleted or irreversibly anonymized within 90 days after a verified request, unless retention is legally required. Restricted backup copies are overwritten through the normal backup cycle within the same 90-day period.

When the request is complete, we will send confirmation to the email address used for the request.

5. Important consequences

Account deletion is permanent. Deleted progress, rankings, virtual currency and purchase-related game entitlements cannot be restored. If you later play again, the game may treat you as a new player where new-account access is available.

Removing Mau Mau from Facebook, Meta or your device may stop future access but does not by itself guarantee deletion of data already held on Mau Mau servers. Send the request described above to complete server-side deletion.

6. Other privacy requests
